The time required for complete air disinfection with Uvix Air depends on several factors, including room size, ventilation, air circulation, and the initial level of airborne contaminants. For the most effective results, we recommend using the device in a closed space to minimize the entry of new pollutants.
Below are estimated disinfection times for typical room sizes:
27m³ (3m x 3m x 3m) — approx. 6 hours
48m³ (4m x 4m x 3m) — approx. 10 hours
75m³ (5m x 5m x 3m) — approx. 15 hours
Please note that actual performance may vary depending on airflow, occupancy, and ventilation. For optimal purification, we suggest running Uvix Air overnight or during periods of low activity to allow continuous and uninterrupted operation.
For best results, it’s recommended to keep windows and doors closed during operation. The more time the air spends circulating through the UV-C chamber, the higher the chance of eliminating airborne pathogens.
This is because during active hours, people moving in and out can bring in new contaminants, so running the operation overnight helps maintain a cleaner baseline.
